18.2 FAS counselling expenses payment schedule

The FAS will pay the following fees paid as part of counselling assistance:

Note: Applicants may choose their own counselling provider. If their counsellor charges more the amounts outlined below, the FAS will only pay up to the amount listed in the relevant fees table.

Counselling reports

The FAS may pay for a counselling report if:

  • a victim shows a need for additional counselling services
  • a victim applies for more than 20 sessions
  • the victim has already used 20 counselling sessions, and
  • the FAS has pre-authorised the payment of the report.
